Words like these So easy to read Seems the dials Won’t turn no more Big black box So silent there Make your sounds That say a lot Do not stop to hear the break Nor let the sound reverberate Reverberate I cannot talk I cannot find The words I need To speak my mind Silver notes With sweet sustain A distorted amp Can ease my brain Do not stop to hear the break Just let the sound communicate Communicate

Fatal Shore 02:43

about

Reviews:
"Finally this sees the light of day. Nick Kreisler has always been one of my favourite Kiwi songwriters - one of those writers whose lyric sheet is just as interesting as their melodies - smart, funny, acerbic, moving.
The last track Fatal Shore is simply beautiful." Greg Fleming, APNZ.

This 12 track album was recorded at Neil Finn's Roundhead Studios in Auckland, New Zealand, 2011. The recording was remarkable as the musicians met each other for the FIRST TIME the day before the recording sessions - Kreisler knew all concerned, and gambled that the fit was right. The consequent studio sessions were then done in two days - so gruelling was the schedule that Nick Beswick collapsed at the piano on the second day from exhaustion.

"In the 24 months since our manic 48hr recording mission to Roundhead Studios in auckland, The Pet Rocks have been diligently, albeit slowly, progressing towards the release of HIGH FREQUENCIES, our third long playing record release in 20 years.
As you can see we believe in quality and patience over quantity and haste.
Since the roundhead sessions there have been 9 interstate meet ups, 57 late night mixing sessions, 2162 beers, 116 whiskeys, 985 coffees, and 2 new baby boys." Rory Toomey.
